Cuba Part I
Cuba was set up in the year 2000 and quickly established itself as a highly effective full service agency with the emphasis on 'creative'. The History Channel and ANA (All Nippon Airways) were the first of many high profile brands to come our way and the latter has been with us ever since.
Creative awards followed and so too the likes of Virgin Games, The Biography Channel, MAG (Mines Advisory Group) and Waitrose.
By then Cuba had grown into a creative force and caught the eye of a high profile start-up, bought and merged to create a new agency.
However, after two years, we decided we preferred our own company and with that the entrepreneurial spirit of Cuba could be suppressed no more and like a phoenix from the flames, Cuba was reborn.
Cuba Part 2
Ah! Not so easy! It was very much a new dawn. The banks were in meltdown and commentators spoke of doom. But unabashed we cracked on/worked harder. Cuba is now back to full strength and some. Clients of old have rejoined us and clients of new have since discovered us.
At the heart of Cuba is independence. Our independence defines the very way we work. But it is strategic insight that sets our course and from there we use every bit of cunning, nous and media available, new and old, on and off-line, weird and wonderful.
Our focus is results. How we gain them differs every time. But gain them we do.
We ply our trade not only in the UK but deliver campaigns across Europe as well as the Philippines, Canada and Japan.
Our outlook for tomorrow? Well, being a strategic and creative bunch we like nothing better than to do a really bloody lovely bit of work but the kind that bites (it's back to that 'results' thing again). We are very good at working hard and celebrating hard once the jobs done but not before.
